I started estate agency in 1998 with a local independent firm called Goodfellows. Luckily for me, given it was my first job in estate agency, they had a strong service policy, and ever since my first day working for them, that service ethic has always been important to me regardless of who I have worked for. In 2008, after 10 very happy years with Goodfellows and having launched their upmarket brand 'Fine and Country' I left, as a Director, to help launch a new agency called WOW property as a sales director for London.

I then managed Andrews' Coulsdon office and after a brief spell back with Goodfellows, decided with Perry, to start our Bespoke agency, poweroshea. Our agency covers a 10 mile radius from our office. My experience within most parts of Surrey and South London (having spent my school years in Purley and now living in Kenley) allows me to feel comfortable about how best to advise my clients in terms of the best area for them to buy or sell within.

I started my career at the age of 16 and have only ever worked in the property industry. I have worked with various different estate agencies ranging from small independent firms to one of the UK's largest, where I was the branch manager at just 22 years old. I am both NAEA (national association of estate agents) and ARLA (association of residential letting agents) qualified having passed numerous examinations and hold a GNVQ in Construction.

I think a lot of the time estate agents forget they are an 'agent' and are supposed to be acting on behalf of somebody else, and tend to put their own best interests first. I am glad, now I have my own estate agency, that I can offer the level of service which I feel is missing within most estate agency businesses. I understand that a returned phone call can make all the difference when stress levels are high, whether it be at 2pm on a Wednesday afternoon or 8pm on a Saturday evening.
